About Bigi
Elevate Your Game
Gael Bigirimana was born in Bujumbura, Burundi, and moved to Coventry, England, where he began his football journey. He joined Coventry City's youth academy at 11 and quickly rose through the ranks. By 17, he debuted for Coventry’s first team, showcasing his talent as a midfielder. In 2012, his performances earned him a 1 million pound move to Newcastle United, where he scored his first Premier League goal and made a name for himself.
After returning to Coventry City, Bigirimana played a pivotal role in their 2017 EFL Trophy victory at Wembley, even scoring in the 2-1 win over Oxford United. This triumph solidified his place in the club’s history.
On the international stage, after playing for England under 20s, Bigirimana chose to represent Burundi, where he became team captain. Under his leadership, Burundi qualified for their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations in 2019, marking a historic achievement for the country.
After playing for a wealth of clubs such as Motherwell fc, Hibernian, Glentoran and Young Africans in Tanzania, Bigi decided to return to Northern Ireland. In 2023 Bigirimana signed with Dungannon Swifts in on loan, where he continues to contribute his experience and leadership both on and off the field.
Bigi is passionate about mentoring and coaching the next generation of footballers. Drawing on his wealth of experience, both in club football and on the international stage, Bigirimana aims to inspire and develop young talent, helping them navigate the challenges of professional football and achieve their full potential.
About Steven
Elevate Your Game
Steven Scott, is a 19-year-old Level 1 qualified football coach with a passion for helping players enhance their technical, tactical, and physical skills on the pitch. His goal is to empower players to build confidence and reach their full potential as footballers.
With a lifelong commitment to Dungannon, he has amassed over 50 appearances in the Irish League. his football journey has been filled with memorable experiences, including competing twice in the SuperCup NI for Tyrone, securing a third-place finish, and winning the Harry Cavan Youth Cup with Dungannon Swifts U19s. Additionally, he has proudly contributed to Dungannon Swifts' victory in the 2022 relegation playoff and has been honoured as the DSFC Young Player of the Year for two consecutive years.
He is dedicated to sharing his knowledge and passion for football with the next generation of players.
